Is it safe to ship things to pakistan / karachi now or do things still get ‘lost’ or stolen in the mail?
I used to hear that if you got anything shipped to pakistan the post office guy would keep it.. that was back in 2003 etc. Have things improved? I just moved here and I want to buy an mp3 player from ebay since they are over 60% cheaper there but I’m worried mine will get stolen in the mail…any ideas?
Things have not perceptibly improved. Anything coming from a relatively prosperous part of the world will stand a good chance of being “held for examination”.
Of course Pakistan is not alone in having this problem. Some of the worst places for pilferage are not always the ones you would expect. The United States, for example, has a less than savory record in this regard, and very few prosecutions.
